Orders Stock Fulfilment

An Order Exists in MySQL but Not in the WooCommerce Interface

Diagnose a WooCommerce order visible in MySQL but absent from the interface through HPOS storage, incomplete rows, cache and query filters.

If an order exists in storage but not in WooCommerce admin, do not “recreate” it until you know which storage layer the interface is reading. HPOS, legacy post tables, status filters and corrupted lookup data can all create the appearance of a missing order.

Identify the authoritative order record

Use the WooCommerce CRUD API for the order ID and compare what it returns with the raw database record. This reveals whether the object is readable by WooCommerce, not just present in MySQL.

Check HPOS compatibility and synchronisation

If HPOS or compatibility mode is involved, inspect whether the extension wrote only one storage model or whether sync is incomplete.

Inspect status, type and ownership

A malformed post type/status, invalid customer reference or extension-specific filter can hide a real order from the list.

Do not rewrite payment metadata

Payment IDs and transaction history are reconciliation evidence. Repair the minimum missing/corrupt fields using supported WooCommerce APIs.

Verify list and direct lookup

After repair, confirm the order appears in the expected status/date filters, opens normally, retains notes/payment IDs and is returned by WooCommerce order queries.

The safe repair principle is covered in repairing WooCommerce order data without rewriting payment history.

Protect historical integrity while repairing visibility

A missing admin row is not permission to rebuild the commercial history. Preserve transaction IDs, totals, tax lines, customer linkage and order notes. If the database is also under pressure, compare the symptom with WooCommerce session growth before assuming the order itself is corrupt.
